Everyone was pre-assigned characters from the novel and given short bios to act the part. Bryce and I went as The White King and Queen. After searching every Halloween shop in Las Vegas and coming up empty handed for costumes, I decided to scour department stores and malls for a white dress, white pants and shirt, white anything. not an easy task given it's winter and the only colors to exist are black and brown after Labor Day.
Seeing everyone dressed up and acting their characters was a lot of fun. As was solving the murder mystery of who killed Alice? What a great way to celebrate halloween with your friends! Here are some of the costumes:
Our Tea Party hosts-Mad Hatter and Hare
The White Rabbit
Humpty Dumpty
Chef!
Tweedle-Dee and Tweddle-Dum
Lizard and Pig
Door Mouse
King and Queen of Hearts
Everyone was so creative in their outfits, but what was equally impressive were the decorations!
Paper lanters and lights hung all over the ceiling
Cobwebs made it feel like Halloween
A tea party complete with the Queen's tarts, and "drink me" potions and food
Pink Flamingo croquet set
Thank you Beth and Cori for hosting an amazing night to remember! Can't wait for next year's Monster Mash Murder Mystery!!! (say that 5 times fast)
